Legal VampireThe casualty was already hypovolaemic when the ambulance arrived and his problems grew when at the hospital it was discovered his blood group was extremely rare and there was none in stock.
The Blood transfusion service located nearest donor of that group and he was called to the hospital to give an emergency donation.
There was some complication and it was not possible to get any blood from the donor no matter how or where the staff tried to get into a blood vessel.
A young nurse who was holding the donors hand to comfort him suddenly noticed the name on the wrist band and said " I think I have the answer " and ran out of the room. Ten minutes later she arrives with a man in a pin stripe suit who says " I can get the blood for you " and goes to work. Sure enough minutes later there are two litres of blood. Remember this was an emergency donation and the donor had agreed to give two litres as it was a desperate situation..
The chief vampire ( sorry... head of the blood transfusion department ) asks the man how he did it and where was he from.
The reply was " Years of practice and I work across the road. "
"" But that is the income Tax Office isn't it ? Are you a Tax inspector""
The man replied " Yes, this donor is Mr Anthony Stone and who is the only person who can get blood from a stone "
