Last year

I have put this on to let folks know that at the end of this year, Truckin L will close. This is not down to not being busy, or run out of money as most of you know.

But I have decided that I do not want to be part of the club scene, this also means I will not be going to any other venues apart from the festivals that are full of friendly folks. If I want to see music then I will go into a pub where you can watch then leave.   Unless something drastic happens on the scene!!!

ALL BOOKED ARTISTES NOTE YOU STILL HAVE THE GIGS AND WILL BE PAID, CUSTOMERS, I WILL BE THERE EVERY MONTH AS NORMAL.
Sheriff

you see, there in lies the problem...

your club runs every month and it's a good venue. You get a good crowd in month after month. People travel from all over to get to your club and you always put on the best entertainment you can get.

So, it aint the money. you run a full club night every month, you've a good venue, you organise it well enough, you can get the good artists...

WHY CLOSE THE CLUB?

You say you may return when the 'scene' drastically changes?
Closing a popular venue like this only adds to the demise of the scene.

You need to take a look at what you have and count yourself very lucky. There's clubs out there hanging on by threads, heavy in debt and closing at an alarming rate - but they're trying to survive.
