Hi, I'm a newbie on here, I was wondering if anyone was at Silloth Country Weekend on the 6th, 7th, 8th March. I went with my hubby had a great time , lovely people and good music, couldn't wait to see one of my favourite bands Diesel Cowboys, but was very disappointed when I did, what has happened to this band , they didn't look as though they were enjoying playing at all, when I saw them at the Great North last year and they blew me away. Was anybody else there, and what did you think?

Hi Jacky and welcome, I wasnt at Silloth but was at the Great North and have to agree they were good there. Maybe they were just having a bad day dont know really, its a bit like the question Blue asked regarding is it up to the audience or the bands to start to create an atmosphere so both can bounce from each other

Hi Judy, they had a change of line up, I noticed that the bass guitarist was new and didn't sing, I remember at Great North the bass guitarist was singing and had a very good voice. All that aside they were not very good. JB

They have had a change in line up Ian James left them, didnt know of another

their original bass guitarist was not only a fabulous bass guitarist but a good singer too. Your right , he did sing as well. At the great north they were bang on form. we worked with them in Scotland last year and they were good then too. Good set of lads that are a good set of professionals. I know of Ian (drummer) going solo but I wasn't aware Denny had left too. I will try find out though

Any new line up can take a while to 'gel' and in some cases just does'nt work at all,seen it loads of times...even with well seasoned musicians....what appears to be iffy now could be blinding 6 months later and vise versa .....shouldnt pre judge on one viewing see what they are like down the line when they have found their feet...causes many bands to go down the pan prematurely
